Everytime I go back to school

I know this is stupid, but everytime I go back-to-school shopping, I always imagine that my purchases will bring me a new-and-improved life. Like that new T-shirt or lipstick will finally make Paul Parlipiano realize how amazing and off beat I am.

I am not a prude. I’ve just never imagined myself being devirginized by just any guy. It’s not that I’ve been suckered into that why-marry-the-cow-when-you-can-get-the-milk-for-free? crap. And I don’t cherish my virginity as a precious jewel, a delicate flower, or any other of the corny metaphors used to describe it by Holy rollers. I just have high standards, that’s all.
