SHOP-HOLIDAY
For I had received so much love and understanding from few chosen people this year, I am giving away some part of my limited wealth. I hope I can give it all back through wrapped gifts. Of course, aside from my family, my Clingy and Picnic Friends made it to my list.
I often don’t go shop for Christmas because 1. I don’t have disposable money to splurge to showcase my thoughtfulness 2. I am not really thoughtful and 3. I am not aspiring to be Miss Thoughtful. So yesterday, through dapattylaurel intervention, I realized that gift giving to people who contributed much to your happiness this year is somehow a responsibility and obligation.
I don’t usually shop on cash ‘cause of the obvious scarcity of liquid asset but I can’t let my parents shoulder the expenses of my being-a-nice-friend-this-season-through-wrapped-presents project so I broke my almost weightless piggy bank and fly to Greenhills with my friend, Drei. Gawd, when you are spending real cash, you really have to compute everything every now and then because when you ran out of it, you ran out of it.
But really, this is just to maintain the symbiotic relationship principle. GIVE AND TAKE..
P.S
I posted this after delivering the presents to the recipients so this would not take away the surprise element of my wrapped gifts. And yes, they have opened it right after the delivery. :))
