And I am Sorry
I am sorry, not because I believe this, but because we have different views.
What I have concluded after all that bible study sessions is that there is no genuine altruism, even Jesus died not because he loves us (well, He does) but to be an obedient son to His Father. The Father sends his only son to be our savior, not that the Son felt the need to save us.
And also, people do good things here on Earth because they knew that they will be rewarded with eternal life after their mortal life here on this unfortunate world. Isn’t it selfish? We do things so we can call ourselves good children of God? If that so, is God just a form of positive reinforcement for us to be good? Perhaps, we created Higher Power, someone who is greater than us, to inspire us to do good and be good with a belief that we will receive something great after this long suffering called life.
And I am sorry. The more I get closer, the more I question. The more I become cynical.
